Instead of using denoising plugins to "clean" an audiofile, here they are used to unveil different soundscapes, ghostly or shimmerish panels of sound and silence. Not a very new idea but pretty fun to implement. As Rauschenberg says here, an act of poetry. (Check this one too).
What I like most of this process is the opportunity to fully explore forms and categories I love: tableaux vivants, sine waves, noise, anxiety, dream. Panel forms which pursue only and foremost an iconoclastic vision.
ναυσίη (nausiē ), noise, bruit, rumore, geräusch…
il rumore è l'alter ego,
la pietra filosofale:
a golden stone
is still a stone.

"Radicalizing: listening is attention, not apprehension;
to listen is evidence of what happens as sound,
not knowledge of what happens with sound.
So: sound is the presence of an absolute,
his annunciation is its own revelation,
listening then it certainly is not the act by which
you come to a discursive apprehension,
but the moment at which perception mediates
and joins the multiplicity in the unity of formal knowledge.
Listening is immediate experience in which knowledge
coincides with the action: listening is ascesis."
