blue sines for Red Shift
Here is an audio draft (3 minutes out of 10, score is coming…) of a first panel of a new piece for Red Shift to be performed on December 4, 2012 at the Vancouver Aquatic Centre.
Dedicated to Jordan Nobles.
The instrumentation is flute (also alto), clarinet (also bass cl), French horn, vibraphone, metals, viola, cello, double bass, live mix and live video.
An aquatic piece so to say…mainly working again and again on a few simple ideas:
Exposition-Growing (not development)
Juxtaposition (mutation not evolution)
Stasis (in a continuous time)
Vibration (timbric/chromatic mobility in an immovable space)
