With much political unrest in many countries around the world, reflecting on the past one hopes to learn from previous experiences. As artists generate their works to voice or echo their views or opinions in these times, we are blessed with their works long after. With Revolution Andrew Bate assembled a panel score to convey the passion and poetic works of Vladimir Mayakovsky and effectively capture the essence of a time of change in early 1900’s Russia. Today, drawing on the power of his words, Revolution intends to embark on a journey of Mayakovsky’s work through the theater of sight, sound, voice and performance. With a poet and a host of accomplished musicians to tell this story, this one time only event is sure to captivate, entertain and inspire.
